After the count down has begun, has anyone experienced a sudden crash where the system (ps3) has stopped working? Which i then would have to manually shut off by pressing the power button on the ps3 and then go thru the 'restore'?

This has happened alot especially when im with a group of friends. My internet connection works great, i'm not experiencing this on any other game. Does anyone know if they're aware of this?

I have, and I was alone with many strangers in a lobby. That lobby is a resource hog, don't do too many "requests" to that lobby (such as checking your own playercard on the list, or other players' playercards). The thing is, the game is sending info to the server and the server back to your console - by now, you should know this.

The Xbox handels things alot better. I just can't trust the ps3 To be perfectly honest. I have friends with ps3s and friends with 360s. I have tried both and in my opinion xbox is better. Anyways I am guessing their servers are getting "hot"?

It's not PS3's fault. Treyarch pushed the system's hardware specs this time around, I'm actually surprised they used that much resources on the lobby.

The PS3 is quite powerful, but the way Treyarch coded the game itself and the lobby was not perfect. SCEA did not communicate the release of the new firmware version and the PSStore enough for the devs to upgrade the code in time. So now, they have to patch it to work with the firmware/PSStore.

This is how the connections work [PlayStation Network] login > Call of Duty Elite (which by the way is running in the background and does eat up a chunk of memory) > the game itself > Lobby + all that Call of Duty record with all that graphic and smooth scrolling.

That's a lot of memory. PS3 has a split memory system in place. Here's what I said at MP1st: http://forums.mp1st.com/threads/why...-weapon-dlc-like-battlefield-3.724/#post-7773

You basically said the ps3 could not handel it.
Sounds like you didn't read anything I just said. You just skipped and said that.

Go back and read that MP1st post. And read it throughly. Don't be lazy.

If there's one thing I don't like is when people assume what I'm saying.
