Is prestiging your weapon worth it?

Okay, so I was playing Black Ops II yesterday, and I had my PDW-57 set to max. It's my most used weapon, and I have Millimeter Scanner attached to it...

A thought came to mind: Is prestiging worth it with weapons?

So, the questions are: Do you think prestiging your weapon is worth it?

Have you prestiged your weapon before?

Unless you want your clan tag or emblem on a weapon, I don't find it being worth it. I would never prestige any of my guns now. I learned my lesson after I prestiged my SVU.

I have prestiged many of my weapons just to get my clan tags on there. That way its like free advertising. lol

I do to keep the game interesting or it gets plain boring.

To boring to me cause you already have the attachments and all your doing is getting a clan tag on your gun and an emblem. The good thing is the xp you get from it tho.

Yes its good to prestige a weapon, cause you can put your clan tag name on prestige 1 and on prestige 2 you get to put an emblem on your gun, ITS WORTH IT

I think it's worth it if you're aiming to prestige. Prestiging weapons help a ton for leveling up and it keep the game fresh. Getting diamond for each gun does it more so. It's fun running around with no perks and attachments and doing more work than anyone else on your team.
