Always do hardcore. One shot kills. Two if you are unlucky.

One thing that helped me was set your weapon up for short range. For example, set the AK up to look like a sub. Short barrel, no stock, etc. Go for mobility and suck all the range off of it. You still get one shot kills at distance and the longshot range is drastically reduced. Then run and gun. Your ads speed will be insane and the longshots will come quickly. You can even do this with LMGs. This are actually fun to run and gun with!
