From what I have read this won't be a bad thing and will encourage more strategic play. I have read the audio engine will have its own type of dead silence. To me it will make competition more fun and a bit harder. I can handle that. Now you will have to use that 20s-30s of exo sparingly and strategically.

I agree with what Hiyabats said. This will only make room for more strategic play, and players will have to think more strategically. Something that adds strategy to a run and gun type of game like Call of Duty is a really welcomed addition, because it changes the game a bit.

A run and gun game with strategy is actually far more enjoyable for run-and-gunners like me because racking up those kills is more challenging, and, therefore, more rewarding. I like the idea of Exo Mute only lasting a limited amount of time. It takes the strategy aspect out of the game when an ability like that lasts indefinitely without any penalty (such as a recharge time).

There is no recharge time just in case you didn't know. It's one battery per life. Battery can be toggled on/off but once it's gone, doesn't come back until your next life.

I'm dumb. Thanks for correcting my mistake. Once per life makes it even more of a strategic perk when used at the perfect moment. I wonder how many people will use it immediately and then die because they wasted the ability so quickly.
