Rank the CoD games?

I'll say all are great except MW2, MW3, Ghosts and BO. I hate the campaigns of these modern FPS where you walk slowly behind some white guy to shoot brown guys and you're terrible restricted. I loved the freedom CoD 1 gave you and wish they'd get back to that.

COD4 closely followed by COD2 for me. COD4 just snags it as it was so revolutionary for it's time and in my opinion, is still the best Modern-era Call of Duty title to date.

COD2 because of the Bolt rifles and simplistic yet addictive gameplay - even if the characters did run like a strange robot!

CoD2 and CoD4 share first place (can't say which one is better, because of one being WW2 and other being modern), second place goes to MW2 (I played it all day long when it came out) and third MW3 (improved MW2).

COD4 and MW2 were i think the last two that really ate a good portion of time. the rest felt too re-hashed and lost my interest quickly. i did play a lot of WaW tho, but mostly only for OG zombies.

I'd say that for its time, Modern Warfare 2 was the best, but looking at them all from the present, Black Ops 2 is the best one, Modern Warfare 2 close second, 3rd one is Modern Warfare 1, then Black Ops 1, then World at War, then Modern Warfare 3.

I can't honestly rank 1, 2, their expacs and 3, due to having played them a long time ago. I also don't think they are that similar with the current games we call Call of Duty.

Keep in mind that I didn't play CoD 2, 3, or WaW. I'm not sure why. I just never did. My rankings are based on which ones kept me going in multiplayer the longest and how smooth things felt.

Story-wise, I'd still pick Black Ops 2 because that campaign was incredibly dark towards the end. That ending where Menendez kills Woods and then burns himself to death....pretty dark and unexpected.

My favorite is probably Call of Duty 4 followed very closely by Black Ops 2 and then Black Ops 1. Following would be World at War and then Modern Warfare 2. I never got Modern Warfare 3 and I only played Ghosts a few times before giving up so I'd rank those far below the others on this list. For me Treyarch really were the better developer especially after Cod 4, much better game quality and game support.

I liked Black Ops 1 and Modern Warfare 1,2,and 3.I really enjoyed the mechanics in the Modern Warfare games.I feel like They did not try so hard to try to be very unique.

I loved the first two modern warfare games, those are the ones I put most of my time in. CoD 4 was revolutionary and MW2 just built upon that succes, I'd say they're equally good though. i'm also one of the few people who absolutely loved the first Black Ops game, I've spent hundreds of hours in that game and I think I'd still enjoy it if I were to play it again

CoD 4. No question. It was a gamechanger. But I will admit to playing the hell out of Black Ops.

Yes, I have. The ones I listed were the only ones I played enough to give a final 'verdict', though.

Even though I really liked CoD 2, I played CoD 4 hundreds of hours and I never really got bored. Like some people said, 4 was a gamechanger, it introduced too many good things to the franchise. I tried MW2 but it was more of the same, and Black Ops were just bad games imo.

COD4 is, and will always be the best Call of Duty title of all time.
I spent hundreds of hours on that game.
Black Ops 2 is the best Call of Duty title since COD4. BO2 is the second best.

My ranking of COD's goes like this...

1. COD4
2. MW2 (Despite it's flaws)
3. BO2
