My CoD is screwing up

Hey guys,

OK so what happened is i joined this funky server which was dedicated or hacked.
The ususal, run really fast, one shot one kill for everything everyone had red boxes around them and the radar was huge. 640 by 400 normal size on my 1920 by 1080.
Now, after i left that server, the radar stayed big. so i don't know how to change it's size, i mean i've changed resoloution and graphics reset CoD and all.
I'm not going to re in stall it though.
Any suggestions?

What has happened is the hacked match has changed your config_mp file. Don't worry it's easy and painless to fix.

If you have Windows XP go to C:\Program Files \Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players

If you have Vista or 7 go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players

You will see a file called Config_mp, make a backup copy by copying and pasting it to the desktop.

Now open the original file in Notepad or Word, Search for, seta compassSize, If my theory is correct the hacked match changed the number after it to something greater than 1. If it is, change that number to 1.

Save it. Close it, right click the file you just modified and click Read only.

Close all windows and then open MW2 as normal, Your radar should be back to it's normal size.

Modifying the Config file is completely legal (According the Activison and Valve) and you won't be banned, do not however go about changing parts of it without training or experience.

yeah thats an easy one. 1 hacked servers r fun and u should enjoy it while u have it. 2 the only way to clear the hack is to follow these steps:
1 drop ur console off a motel if its a 360 and hit it with a hammer if its a ps3
2 hold a magnet all over the system. this will instantly clear the hack
3 find a gun and shoot ur console just to make sure the hack doesnt come back

It didn't work for me, the hack is still there, =(
