Scoring System

Could someone plz explain the scoring system in BO3? I don't understand it. Once a game finishes it shows the top 3 players but it's not always the ones who actually came in 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the in game leaderboard. For example in free for all, a guy who came in 7th will be one of the three players that is shown at the end of the game. I don't understand how he is one of them when he came almost in last

The scoring system works via attaining points. The more points you gather together, the higher on the scoreboard you are. If you had a streak going on, then everything else is chained together. Have you noticed that when you had a streak going, that a bunch of points come on the middle of the screen? Those points. It all adds up.

This has been the logic for some Call of Duty titles since MW3.

Maybe it's just the whole winners circle, highest score thing, I'm used to the top 3 players on the scoreboard actually being the Top 3 players. I'm guessing the "Winners Circle" is for who scored the most overall points in the game? Not just points from kills but like calling in scorestreaks and stuff? But even then a lot of the ppl I've seen in the winners circle didn't call in any scorestreaks snd if one of the players that was supposed to be in the "winners circle" is dead at the end of the game than it puts someone else in his spot. I usually play HCFFA but have played objective game modes and ended up having the highest score in that game but wasn't in the winners circle because I was dead at the end of the game. But no I play hardcore so I don't see any points on the screen

Yes, the "Winners Circle" is/are based around who scored the most overall points. In other words, anything from kills, to killstreaks, to flamethrower kills, to grenade throws, to on-impact kills, to tomohawk kills, to secured Domination spots, and so on and on. All of it adds up. It does not have to be just - Scorestreaks/Killstreaks, it's just that killstreaks are supposedly "money" shots.
