i have noticed in recent times there is a incresing number of inderviduels in the lobbies of this great game that for some reason you can not knife even with commando pro on and it is supposed to be no failings.
can someone clear this up for me?
are they cheating in someway?
because it is getting worse and is annoying!
and will prob cause me to have to get a new tv as the amount of shouting i do at it will resort into me hitting it.

ps3 it may just be me but it seems to skip when you press to knife them you miss then they kill you cos you miss not only that in the reply it doesnt even show you tryin to knife them just you getting it i dont know but i thought that people may have the same prob but do look for it

I'm a PS3 player and I say its not just you. Even without commando, sometimes it misses the mark. And I knifed the dude POINT fucking blank.

ok thanks for the welcome and the fix on the sig. but to the subject iam glad iam not on my own with this its really annoying i dont know what there doing but whatever it is its catching on glitch maybe but i did sum guy the other day in the tail of the helicopter in crash but i supposedily missed and he got me how the hell can i miss when he is bent down facing the window its laughable.

I dunno, MW2 is glitchy as hell right now. Not a single game that I play is fun, its always someone cheating, lagswitching, lagging behind, exploiting new holes, glitching, the list goes on and on. Oh, and lets not mention those "OMG! BullShit!" moments.

No, the developers behind Modern Warfare 2 were Infinity Ward. Black Ops is being developed by Treyarch. If you liked World of War, then you're most likely to be at home with Black Ops. Thing is, they're going modern this time around and not stuck in WWII-era, so styles have changed. Then there's tons of changes.

yes i agree but my point is this they are different developers tey will do things differently the ideas and layout for example iam just worried thry are doing mainly a follow up to mw2 but if they change too much it wont work and become no where near like the other wise great game of mw2 thats all i dont see why infinity ward have handed it over

Here's the thing you don't understand: Activision owns both companies.

Both companies are competing with each other on 1upping each other.

Both companies use the same COD formula that COD4 started. And both use the same code as the one IW created for COD4. Thus, every time a new COD game comes out, they modify the code to work 'better' than the other company does. They keep doing it and doing it and doing it until they decide to scrap the original ideas which Black Ops is going to be.

Black Ops is using the MW2 engine, whereas MW2 used the Quake engine - go figure.
