When did you first play COD?

My first cod was advanced warfare, and I’ve played every CoD after that for some time. honestly I would rather play AW than CoD vanguard even today…

Probably the only thing to pass through this thread since it was first created was tumbleweed, like an abandoned town in a Spaghetti Western, but there's no Clint Eastwood in this thread.

This is one of those threads that should be timeless and yet somehow went unnoticed for 47 months and 1 reply later until now, but as I'm here now:

Modern Warfare 3, probably the last good CoD before they started stretching things with Advanced Warfare up until Modern Warfare. Activision just failed to launch a game that engaged any interest from me, and if it wasn't for Warzone and COVID then I probably would have missed that too, glad I didn't though.

I'm the Clint Eastwood of the thread. I've played a lot of FPS from the beginning.

Doom
Turok
Medal of Honor Frontlines (a GREAT game)
Hexen
Timesplitters

And so on...

How I discovered Call of Duty, isn't the first games. I vaguely remember playing some Call of Duty games early on, but I actually attended E32005, and E32006. So, I discovered Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 3, respectively. I played them on Xbox 360. Glorious controller.

But, my first impression was: Yawn. Because of the same thing Call of Duty: Vanguard bombed; being a World War 2 shooter.

That was until Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out. Just remember I didn't care about Call of Duty. I was surprised the game I yawned on, suddenly got popular with word of mouth. As soon as hear it, I didn't think second thoughts.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the addiction of my college years. Mornings, afternoons, nights, midnights, and into the very next mornings.

I began buying Call of Duty games since.

CoD4 is the game that soaked me in.

2004 I would have been 58.
So that would make you 76 years young this year, I salute you.
