How to get more kills?

Wiseowl

I have been playing multiplayer and Warzone for nearly two weeks now! In multiplayer l am now reaching 13-15 kills! Am l doing well or not to say how long I’ve been playing for? Also l see sometimes that people are getting 24-40 kills? Is that right or are they hackers?

Depends on what and how you are playing. Harcore domination? I got over 80 in one match last night which is nowhere close to some of these guys.

Core TDM? 15 to 20 is really decent.

There are things you might be able to do that will improve your scores, like learning to pulse/burst fire instead of just holding the trigger down, which is great advice to give, if I only I could remember it when I am playing.

Shooting in bursts gives you more control over your gun and makes it easier to change your aim continuously without having to fight against the recoil action of the weapon.
But in terms of your kills per game, where do you usually place on the scoreboard?

If there are 6 in your squad then a top 2 position is great, ending in 3rd or 4th is average and 5th or 6th would be below average. I'm usually 5th or 6th, if I'm honest, but to get the occasional 2nd slot, the only time I've been top of the table is when I've been in the losing squad!

I consider it to be a good game if I have had fun, if I play 2 bad games in a row and I take a break and hope for less competent opponents the next time I play.

@init6 @DizzyDemon
I sometimes get the middle of score board, once at the top and a lot near bottom. I know about bursts of fire but l just don’t know how to get more? I never see a group of enemies!

Also how do you get into a hardcore match? Names of games keep changing. One minute called stir crazy now it’s cranked. Can’t remember what cabin fever was? Is ground war hardcore?

Wtf! Just tried ground war! respawn, die, respawn, die?

I've not tried Ground War, Cabin Fever is a collection of small maps and different game modes like Domination, TDM, Headquarters etc...

It's quite insane on some of the maps where you have all twelve players in combat in a tiny space, you will die a lot, but it's easy to get some good kill counts in short games on small, tight maps like that.

Is there a separate bit to click on domination, so l only play domination?

Hardcore has a different style. Theres no minimap, no bullet counter, no kill cam. Basically, just you and your gun and a wide open field of view. Its fast paced on any map. If has the same playlists as regular core version.

Click the filter button on quick play. You will see the list of events you can select. At the top you will see core and hardcore. If you use R1 I think itll page over to hardcore. You have to click to set that value. On ps4 it's the square button.

Oh...friendly fire is enabled. Keep that in mind. You get a free kill or two but then if you kill your own team YOU die instead. :)

I read somewhere that there is an algorithm at work during game play.. It computes your hit vs rounds fired ratio...

If it's really low ( you fire a lot of rounds but don't hit much of anyone) then it starts paring you with players who are equally bad shots..

I am a fairly decent player (if I do say so myself.. And I do :D) but when I have a streak of bad games I suddenly find myself with groups of lower skilled players... Then my kill count rises dramatically..

Until the algorithm puts me back up with the big boys...

It's kind of a wild ride.. :D

Yes, I think it is constantly adjusting where it puts you, that way consistently good players will be matched against other consistently good players.

Players like me that bounce between below average to average scores get moved around a lot more.

They should take into effect your weapon choice over the last 15 to 20 matches. If you are a shotgun user then group all those guys together. But only do this for shotgun users. [emoji41][emoji41]

Different weapons work better on different maps, learn to use shotguns in close quarter maps to peg up some one hit kills. SMGs work well in close quarter maps too.

Scream if you want to go faster!!! :)

I run with smg, or ar/lmg set up like smg in the small maps. Pistol on hardcore. Shotgun feels like cheating. Especially when you can hip fire from a dead sprint and get one shot kills at 50 yards. Screw shotguns
