A Question about Season 4 and Battle Pass

This could be a really stupid question, but I'll put it out there, please don't judge me.

I have now got 1500 CP saved, that's enough to get the Season 4 Battle pass and leave change,

Buying the Battle pass will allow me to jump 20 levels, but if I waited till I got to level 20 and bought the Season pass then will I then jump to level 40, or from 40 to 60 etc... or does it only allow me to skip the first 20 levels?

My reasoning is, if I wait till it gets harder to pass on to the next tiers then I can jump forward and get a stack of goodies in 1 go.

Nope. Once you bought the Battle Pass, that's all you get from it. Thing is, though, once you unlock the Battle Pass, it retroactively unlocks everything from 1 to say... Level 20. If you're at Level 30 or higher, then it will unlock, no matter what. It's catching you up until where you bought the pass.
