Game won't launch

I went to play on my PC today and the game just refuses to launch.

The BattleNet client button changes from "Play" to "Playing", but the game just doesn't load. Oddly, when I look in task manager, I can see the game there and I can end the task. When I end the task, the client changes back from "Playing" to "Play".

I've uninstalled and have spent the last 12 hours reinstalling, but the problem still persists.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix?

Same problem here, but no fix. I've tried scan and repair, uninstall/reinstall, updating my video drivers (AMD Radeon RX 5700 Anniversary, for the record), Windows Update... nothin'. Same problem with Warzone, too.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling BattleNet.

Also when the game has 'launched' try using Alt-Tab to see if you can tab through to the running game. I have seen some instances of the game running but launching in the background, Alt-Tab just brings it to the screen.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Battle.net and it didn't make any difference. And there's nothing to Alt-Tab to, it doesn't show up at all.

(I tried alt-tabbing anyway, and it doesn't come up on the list.)

That's really strange then, if task manager can see it then you should be able to alt-tab to it.

Yeah, you'd think. The system doesn't think it's hung or anything, either. It just... doesn't show up.

Got it working here. I had to disable exploit mitigations in Sophos Home as I think Hitman Pro was blocking something.
