Hi All,

I do not understand what is with the graphics settings in this game. Even when my graphics card (RTX 3070 non-LHR) is at 49c and only ~4GB VRAM is being used I'm getting less than 10 FPS. Please see this image.

At the time I posted this image the settings are on Medium with Full Screen, In-game screen size set to 2k (I have a 4k monitor but can't put it up to 4k as I can't even move on the menu). The only apps loaded on Windows were Discord and Spotify.

My computer specs are: https://valid.x86.fr/w2kqdk

At the time of playing CoD and taking the screenshot, my second monitor was unplugged from HDMI so I only had 1 x 4k Monitor.

Any help would be appreciated but my graphics card was hardly being used.

go through your settings and adjust what you need to, the lower vram the higher fps. dont know why you are seeing less then 10 fps. im running a 2080 ti xc ultra and with settings maxed out i get 80 to 100 fps.

I have tried but even on low settings and when I look at my task manager, CPU @ ~30%. Mem @ ~55% and GPU at around 70%. I have tried to reinstall shaders as every time I load up the game it says compiling shaders. and wondered if something got stuck there.

make sure to let the shader thing complete and whats your render resolution at. and if your not using geforce experience might want to download it and go play and then set it for performance and compare its settings to what you have and see if theres a difference. ill take some screen shots of my settins and upload them here in a few.

Nice specs.

If you haven't done this already, go to the AMD website and look for the Downloads section where you will find a tool that checks your PC to update all of the motherboard drivers for you.

I had 6 driver updates for my chipsets on my B450 mobo, and these added a massive boost to my frame rates.

Thanks for suggestion, already tried that, appears the error has not been fixed. I just set my monitor in windows to 1080p and in game 1080p on medium and still getting < 10 fps. Reinstalled shaders again, reinstalled graphics drivers. I have tried GeForce experience settings which did not work. only time it works is safe mode which is low settings but no different to what I have set myself.

Just don't know where to go from here. My gfx card was literally using 4GB RAM including other apps.

Okay so the issue is fixed this time and it's a weird fix.

FPS issues only happen on fullscreen and Windowed Borderless. If I run it at 4k Windowed and stretch out to full-screen size on ultra I have no issues at all. I can only assume it's some bug. But I am getting 90 - 120 FPS on ultra 4k whilst in window mode.

I eventually found the true fix, my driver had updated and vanguard officially only supports Nvidia 472.12 and I was on 496.x. Now I can run ultra 4k no issues at all.

This should be more widely known

Sounds like the OP had the exact same problem I am having..

But I have updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers which fixed his, but has no effect on mine :(

See if you can't go back to 472.12, maybe you need to revert to the older drivers.

Sorry, that might be the dumbest thing I've ever posted, but I've tried being clever and all that did was cost you money but still not fix your issues.

Glad to see the LIKE there ^^^^^ I never know how my quirky sense of humor will be received..

My lovely wife usually has to take me every where twice... The second time to apologize.. :D

The smiley and heh... at the end made it quite clear that you had no ill intent in your post, so it's all good, it raised a smile out of me. I think you and I have been talking long enough to be good with some light spirited banter, don't you think?
