I posted this on the IW forums but the F****d up my account so I posted it here.

This game is only out a week and already I am getting fed-up with how unfair the whole game is.
This game is designed for the American market and for American players.

Now before you go telling me I'm just not good at it or its "lag man" you should try playing it from the rest of the world (you know the bits of land not attached to the USA)

The connection is this game is much much worse then in COD4 and COD5. not only do you always stick Europeans with an American host but you change host of it looks like the American's are going to loose a game.

Today I connected to a game where our team where killing people when they shot them (imagine that) my kills where up to 22 and deaths where 6. Then the game stopped and it said looking for new host. Once it found the host the game restarted. From that point on I got 1 Kill and 17 deaths.

As you can imagine, we lost the game.
This game causes nothing but frustration and irritation when playing it. At one point I even had some nice players from the states say "its clear there is something wrong with the connections... I don't think your going to win a game in this group" at that point we gave up and logged out.

This is all the time and unless IW change the way the game looks for host or sets up a central server to run the game I can see them loosing all customers outside North and South America.

As this is the 3rd COD game with this problem (COD6 being the worse)I can only assume IW built it this way to give the states the advantage over the rest of the world. This might sound strange but if you think about it, America, Canada and South America is a very large market for profit. It is in IW's best interest to keep this market happy at the expense of the rest of the world.

What platform do you play on jetpack101?

On release day, around 4.7 million copies of the game were sold in the US and the UK alone, with an estimated 1.23 million - thats just over 25%. With the rest of Europe included as well, i can't imagine numbers are that swayed in North and South Americas favour that developers would try and build in an advantage for them.

I've dedicated a pretty solid chunk of time to multiplayer, and can only remember two games where i really felt lag was having a negative impact on my performance. One game sorted itself out pretty quickly, i think i left the other one eventually.
They definitely won't be losing me as a customer though, or the majority of my friends as i've not heard any of them talking about lag.

I imagine Australians have a far worse off time than us Europeans too! :p

I play on Xbox 360.

I have a 20Mb connection with UPC (or NTL) so a bad connection is not the issue i think. I play from Ireland so not sure if that changes things. I have had a number of friends here saying there having the same problems. A lot have gone back to COD5 until they sort out the problems.

I think its a great game and its very easy to get lost in it for a couple of hours. I have no problem getting killed if its fair. I also have no problem loosing when the other team is clearly better then our team. Its just that it gets very frustrating when you keep changing your guns thinking that's the problem when its clearly not.

When game scores are averaging 6200 to 7500 then you had a pretty fair game and you lost fare and square. When the score is 1300 to 7500 and the game ends within 6 minutes then there is something wrong with the connection (this could happen while playing a number of games with the same players).

This has been made even more clear when you hear other players on your team say things like "What the F**k" or "are you F*****g serious"

While game chat only can be a good thing it also means you have to put up with a lot of stupid Americans screaming down the mic "We kicked your arse, you f*****g suck dude's". In saying that I have heard other Americans say "You kicked no ones arse, its obvious they are having problems with connect"

Most of the time we have great crack with most players with just the odd d**k head annoying everyone. And most people kinda know there is a connection problem so we are advised to leave and look for another game with possibly a better connection.

The UK seems to get better connection then Ireland, not sure why this is but I agree with you with relation to Australia. They must be having a rough time of it with this new game.
