Another mystery from the new guy

Just finished another COD MW MP and printed the summary. The summary shows that my team players died 89 times. The winning team killed 202 players. Something I don't understand here????????

It's boosting, or reverse boosting. It's a practice that's been done since MW2, but "reverse boosting" is the act of killing your "teammate" to reverse engineer the Skill Based Matchmaking system. The idea is to be dropped into "bot" (loser) lobbies. Most YouTubers are doing this for videos, Swagg for example was accused of this recently, but many people don't realize Swagg doesn't really need to.

Sorry l don’t understand you? Are you able to explain what you mean?

Boosting: You find a friend to go with you in a lobby. Let's say FFA (Free For All), you and your friend goes in. kill one or each other. To end up on the top of the leaderboard. So, most of the time, when you go into a MW2 lobby - you're going to see 20 kills or 30 kills by the top 2 players already in 5 minutes. Everyone is asking "how?" Boosting.

Reverse Boosting: OK, so, SBMM is an algorithm, right? With Reverse Boosting, your goal isn't to get on top. Your goal is to be dropped into lobbies where n00bs "live." So, you can go into a CODMW lobby with a friend and kill each other. Or just go solo, die many times to be dropped into what is known as a "bot" lobby. A "bot" to some people is a loser, a n00b.

Thanks so much for explaining l always wondered what boosting was! The thing is tho l didn’t know you could kill your friend/teammate unless is was hc? Also l would’ve thought a bot lobby was aim bots not noobs.

FFA is the place to do that. Hardcore is another place, but that has "penalties." In CODMW, people are just going solo, and dying. Or making suicides (yes, it exists, it was in MW2, and it's here, too.)

Here's Booster Justice. Famous video - compilation of Sandy Ravage disrupting booster lobbies.
