So, for a year and a half now, I have been working on a Call of Duty Zombies fanfiction which is meant to explore the personal lives of our protagonists. What are their dreams, aspirations? What are their families like? What were they like as a child? What are the unseen consequences of them frolicking into interdimensional travel, the universe at stake? All of this and more is covered in the fanfiction, the first installation named Wahrheit Unter Alcatraz.
The story begins when young Torsten, an engineering student in Poland, explores an abandoned factory. We know this place as the setting of Der Riese. After fooling with faulty machinery, he is zapped to Edward Richtofen's secret lab underneath Alcatraz. As Torsten becomes Richtofen's apprentice, questions linger, yearning to be answered. Why was the teleporter wired to his lab, of all places? Why is Richtofen, usually sharp and condescending, so open to having a young ordinary man as his student? And most of all. . . What will Torsten learn?
Yeah, there's lots. Even a sequel! But I was unsure if there was a fanfiction community at all in the Call of Duty fandom. If I made my fanfiction public, would it be read?
