I am excited to announce a first- time Charity gaming event #Biggerthanus! During these challenging times of Covid, video games have become a great way to stay connected. As a student-athlete and in my role as VP External affairs for my chapter at Chi Psi, I have had to adapt (as we all have) to a 'new normal'. Things look very different than before in all areas and the idea of creating such an event came to mind as something that can be done virtually and in alignment with social distancing with the added benefit to help others.
With the support of my local chapter of Chi Psi fraternity, we are facilitating a national video game charity tournament this holiday season, in hopes to end 2020 on a high note and enter 2021 on the right foot. We have selected the Boys and Girls Clubs to benefit from a portion of each registrant that participates. After initial outreach with friends and mutual connections, we are excited to see the enthusiasm from players, including Travis Homer of the Seattle Seahawks!
