Call of Duty 1 -- cannot see end video, audio only - any fix

Just re-playing this for the first time in years, and was a little bummed when I got to the end and the final video of the Russian soldier talking over historical scenes was just a black screen, though the audio worked fine. I know why this likely happened -- because I forced on the game an HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 to make the game more playable and nice-looking.
I know it's silly, but I was just wondering if there was a way to get the video to play in my current HD settings? I located the video in the game folder (in the 'localized_english_pak0.pk3' file) titled cod_end.roq. But I have no idea how to edit a roq file, or if that would even work.
Was hoping someone out there has already figured this out...?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes, but oddly the video of the Russian soldier talking over historic scenes is skipped here (I guess the player just clicked over it) -- in mine, the video plays but only audio over a black screen. I want my son to play this but I know he's going to complain, "that's it?" when he gets to the end if there's nothing except the credits. And then I'm going to be irritated with him, since this was one of my great gaming experiences as a teen:)

The videos in the game are most likely encoded in a way that codecs to pay them will not be readily accessible.

The easiest way to see them would be searching on YouTube.

Hopefully your son will still get to experience the essence of the game that you played way back then.

For me, I find going back to play those retro games to be really annoying.

Having experienced current games and graphics, I see the games I played when I was in my teens on my Amiga to be unplayable, and I have tried a few under emulators.

Back in the day games like Half Life were cutting edge, now they are just dated, though I have been meaning to try and complete HL1 and HL2 again, I doubt I ever will.
