DMZ Choppers Too Buff'ed

I am doing the mission where you have to destroy 3 QRF choppers in Ashika...

I go in with a PILA, but I can't get more than 2 shots off before they choppers are gone..

Is there an easier way to destroy re-enforcement choppers???

OK, did it..

Took in a crossbow with explosive tips.. 3 shots did the trick..

It's hilarious as hell that 3 crossbow arrows with HE tips has the same destructive power as a PILA missile..

That should read that a crossbow arrow with an HE tip has the same destructive power as a PILA missile.. DOH!!

So why is it a sam site will take down the chopper but the shoulder fired missile you carry won't

Oh heard last night equipping thermite heads takes only 2 shots from the crossbow, instead of 3 explosive tips

I still need to level up the cross bow more.. I tried leveling it up in shipment but it is SO slow to reload its not worth doing it there. My best experience was to find a warzone area get to a decent rooftop near the edge of it and just work the xbow shooting all the AI dropping in. some of the trouble is some of those guys parachute in and they will land on top of you so be careful LOL.
Made good exp there doing that until I had to exfil and my bird did not get off the ground fast enough and a team of 6 rolled up in a LTV and chewed my butt up while the bird was lifting off.. Sigh if only I had called it 5 seconds earlier..
But oh welll tis what it is and that is why I try to keep one toon ready to roll that I could give a rats ass if I get nuked...

Just played a round with Thermite Tip'ed Bolts..

Imminently better.. Especially with that instant activation... With HE tips, there is a 2-3 second delay before the HE detonates...

Not so with the thermite... The target KNOWS they been hit instantly!!

I like that in my lethal weapons..

After further experimentation, I am thinking to stay with the HE tips.. While it's true that Thermite tips are better against vehicles, HE tips can take out multiple targets..

If I can get an arrow into a chopper before deployment, I can take out everyone in the chopper with an HE tip..

So last night in the MAZ I got a limited time mission of kill 2 QRF choppers

I hit them with 2 and it "disabled" the choppers but the continued to fly. It took 2 more to make them explode and what happened the 1st one was I hit it with 2 and my teammate hit it with a joker.

I went into Ashika and got 1 That also took 4 arrows to make it go boom with the thermite tips.

One thing I will say is they are fun on Bots..
