Cross-gen packs?

Hi. I want to play BO6 on my xbox series x. I have the call of duty black ops 6 cross-gen edition.

Do I need all the Cross-gen packs on around 10mb each for play the game on series x? What really is the packs for?

For the millionth time... YES.

What really is the packs for?

It's practically a patch update for that version. Back with Modern Warfare (2019), we had this similar thing. We downloaded multiplayer packs, and it was around 20GB to 40GB each. The multiplayer packs patches the game - overlaying the game so that the old files do not interfere with the new updates. When you load the game the server looks for the files to "manifest" and stabilize the game. That's what this is.

Last questions. Why is it missing some cross-gen packs? I have from 1-5, and 12,13,15 or something? Where is 6-11?? I really dont understand this.

I don't know. Just download what is available and if it works it works.

Okay. But I Just found out that BO6 Multiplayer doesn't need any of the cross-gen packages. Only installed cod app and multiplayer. And everything works.
