Custom vs. Blueprints (Modern Warfare)

First off, Happy New Year Everyone.

I dont post on reddit nor am I a regular. I've posted before for questions regarding games. (If this question has been posted sorry for the repetition)

That being said, I'm level 52 on the battle pass tiers and as you progress you clearly unlock weapon mods (called blueprints) or you can purchase mods and cosmetics .

My question is , in the battle store (where you can purchase blueprints and cosmetics) are you basically just paying for the option to get that specific optic, barrel unlock for that gun before you actually play enough to unlock it ?

For example, I use the M4A1 XRX and I've maxed out the gun. (I have every attachment) ... I see a new package called "Gun Nuts" and its 5 legendary weapons, one of them being Oscar Mike assualt rifle ..... If I take the M4A1 XRX that I've maxed out and use the exact same attachments would I now have the "Oscar Mike" assualt rifle? (Because they do show you the attachments on that gun that I could easily equip)... or do you think they kick it up a notch mechanically?

Blueprints "override" your equipped loadout. Sooo, in other words - it pulls all the customization from THAT particular blueprint. It doesn't matter if you have the equipment unlocked or not.

Okay, so to answer your question: Yes, but also not... really. Okay, so you already maxed out the M4A1 weapon, so you should already have the attachments/unlocks available. So, if you're going to get Oscar Mike, which is basically another M4A1 Blueprint. Don't do it because of the attachments, do it because you like the cosmetic design of it. Blueprints and custom weapons are separate. However, you can customize your blueprints. The point I'm getting at is - I'd not waste my COD points on those blueprints.

You should watch pros on YouTube and their tutorials. A few on top of my head are Drift0r, and PrestigeIsKey - they do tutorials on weapons. Search on YouTube with your weapon as a keyword. They will tell you what I'm saying. PrestigeIsKey even did a video comparing a blueprint to a normal weapon. (I mean at launch.) All you need to do is look at the blueprint's loadout, and attach all those loadouts to that weapon of choice.

On the other question, like the battle pass store: Most of the time, you're buying bundles, rather than single items.

What Activision (and not Infinity Ward) wants to do is extract more money out of your hands. Yes, I mean real money.

Thanks Carlos. I guess what I was getting at specifically was I dont need Oscar Mike for any other reason other then the b.s cosmetic. And since I've Maxed out the XRX I could copy the attachments from Oscar Mike and have the exact same gun except not the cosmetics.

Yes, you're getting it. You're understanding the logic now.

I understood the logic from the beginning, I just wanted to verify more the fact between cosmetic vs. Attachments.

Ok so the only thing I really bought was some package that included the K/D watch .. which I actually pretty much calculate it in my head , but good to know the accuracy of where your at.

Man, it's crazy they actually got rid of the orginal K/D on the scoreboard to stuff you with a watch. How is that legal lol.

The way I see Blueprints is like variants. Let's say you're at Level 1, and you don't have any attachment unlocked, and say you're a guy that likes gold or special guns, you go like "this looks cool." You'll buy it. But if you're smart, you'd know to grind the game, and you learn that Blueprints can be accomplished if you know the loadout of the weapon. Those bundles are meant to prey on the idiots. Yup.

Put it this way: You could get a powerful Model 680 blueprint if you grind to level 56, before you start the officer ranks. If you pre-order the game, you also get a weapon blueprint. (Meant to help you understand blueprints.)

Well, watches are harder to get in the game. I honestly think the k/d watch is stupid, but those are meant for those k/d hunters. The ones that look at the leaderboards every once a while.

Do you use FMJ stopping power on all your guns? I only use the XRX customized since I maxed it at lvl 71 or what not

FMJ is bullet penetration through walls. So, if you shoot others through walls often, then use it. Otherwise it's useless. It doesn't add hitpoints to your shots.

Honestly, I would rather use a silencer muzzle to keep me stealthy.

What weapon do you use with what loadout?

That's not my current rank, current weapon level, or whatever. But that's my gunsmith in a nutshell...

Still not my current rank, but that's my loadout with my beautiful Gold MP5. (Yeah, bitches!)

If I hit the completionist on the M4A1 will it be gold also? I need like 100 kills with no attachments then I'm good to go.

Lol no attachments .. sounds tough haha
I was scratching my head about that... Like, why does it matter in later ranks? I mean, that should have been your first class of unlocks. Meh, I don't know, these developers are probably bankrupt of ideas.
