Warzone Do different skins make a difference moving

Not open for further replies.
Hi is it me or do the skins feel different on each player chosen. I'm fairly new so forgive me but I thought there wasnt supposed to be any differences. Some players feel faster than others I'm not sure if its lag maybe then

It depends on your weapon and atattchments on how fast you can run etc.
Just fist make you run fastest. If I'm on 1st ring and need to run fast ill drop a weapon I don't like, then switch to fists and can out run the ring.

Depends on what you mean by "skins". If you're referring to a blueprint, then yes they can affect your movement speed for the reason Hunt mentioned. Different attachments affect your movement and ADS (Aim Down Sight) speeds. Blueprints have varying attachments, so different blueprints can have completely different handling stats.

For example, look at the following Kilo builds:

Mono Suppressor, 19.8 Prowler Barrel, VLK 3.0x Optic, Commando Grip, 100 Round Drum Mag
- 502ms ADS, 3.97m/s movement speed, 1,300m/s bullet velocity

Whisper Barrel, Tac Laser, No Stock, Commando Grip, Stippled Tape
- 198ms ADS, 4.74m/s movement speed, 929m/s bullet velocity

These weapons would feel literally nothing alike. The long barrel'd version has an ADS roughly 2.5x slower than the Whisper. The run speed is almost a full meter per second slower. But, you get roughly 40% faster bullet velocity and 70 more rounds per magazine, and less recoil so you're killing potential is much greater. But, you'll be slower moving around the map and your weapon will be a lot heavier and slower to ADS.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was originally referring to the different character skins but you mentioning the weapons blueprints gives me another question. I currently have a mp5 with some of the flood blueprints opened. My question is will this them perform better than standard and would it take in effect things like speed. Accuracy. Weight. Etc etc. I've attached a pic. I don't think all the attachments are open yet. I swapped the optic and also kept sleight of hand over for the gun butt forge Tac ultra light blueprint as I struggle seeing. Bad eyes and old lol let me know what you think.

Getting used to these sights now instead ;)

One of my favorite types of guns. I also end up swapping things out though. The blueprints are good "beginning" combinations in my opinion but I look at them as a started weapon with a fancy paintjob.

Just gotta play around with the attachments to get the right feel for me to perform better.

That's a bit of a mish-mash of attachments. The FSS Mini barrel on the Flood MP5 reduces range by 20%, so that is going to make this an extremely short-range weapon. The Operator grip belongs on an A/R because it's secondary ability is added Aim Stability, which only helps medium/long-range weapons. Good call removing the FTAC UL stock - it increases strafe speed while reducing Aim Stability so that's fairly useless.

The fact that you added an optic seems like you aren't using this at super short-range. If that's the case, once you unlock other attachments I would switch to this for a more medium range MP5 build:

Barrel: Integrated Monolithic
Laser: Tac Laser
Optic: Your choice
Grip: Commando
Mag: 10mm Conversion

The 10mm ammo slows the ROF and adds a little more recoil, but the TTKs (time to kill) are better across the board - it's as good as the 9mm version in short range and also has better mid-range effectiveness. The Commando grip will tighten up the recoil pattern and make it easier to use at mid-range as well. And the Integrated Mono barrel will not only suppress the sound but it will extend the range a bit instead of nerfing it like the FSS Mini does. You would only want a barrel like the FSS Mini on a short-range build.

Here's a comparison between your current build, my medium-range build, and my short-range build:

Flood:

Barrel: FSS Mini
Optic: SZ Reflex
Grip: Operator
Mag: 45 Ext
Perk: Sleight of Hand

Medium Range:

Barrel: Integrated Mono
Laser: Tac Laser
Grip: Commando
Mag: 10mm Ammo
Grip: Stippled Tape

Short Range:

Barrel: Subsonic Integral
Laser: Tac Laser
Stock: No Stock
Mag: 45 Ext
Grip: Stippled Tape

Here's the ADS/recoil/velocity charts plus a TTK plot for those 3 builds (TrueGameData):

The ADS is similar on the 10mm medium range build, but it gains better Sprint to Fire speeds, recoil reductions, and bullet velocity. Also the range is better as you'll see on the TTK plot.

THe short range build has much quicker ADS and the same improved Sprint to Fire speeds from the 10mm, and the bullet velocity is actually still better than the Flood build. However it has worse recoil thanks to skipping a front Grip, but if this is truly a 10-20m max range build then recoil isn't really an issue because you'd have an A/R to handle medium range.

The short-range build is the best inside 10m, which is what it's built for. Outside 10m it is fairly even with the Flood build but outclassed by the 10mm rounds. But the Flood build basically trails the short-range build the whole way, really due to the improved ADS times on my short-range build. That is mainly because I traded your Reflex optic for the No Stock and the front grip for a Tac Laser, both of which drastically speed up ADS while increasing recoil. But again, at least in my opinion, recoil isn't very important inside 10-20m since you're basically on top of each other, and for that reason I don't feel like an optic is necessary either unless you just truly hate the iron sights!

Thanks guys. To be honest I'm getting frustrated at the moment getting what is considered best on all the settings of everything. I know it comes down to personal preference. I'm really new to warzone and I'm trying to work out what is the best as there are so many people saying different things. I'll definitely try the close range set up and that's some amazing information you posted. There needs to be 3 guns in warzone. One for close. Medium. Long range If it was gta it be short. assault shotgun. Medium Combat mg. Long heavy sniper. I'm currently running m4a1 long range I'm.stuggling picking a gun that's amazing close up and good also medium range. I took off the sights on the mp5 and added lozero mini reflex and I did have the commando foregrip but I added the blueprint as it was only available on the operator attachment as I thought it would be the best possible set up.I'm fairly happy with mp5 generally until I'm up close to someone. I tried the 10ml ammo but found myself short all the time reloading especially when lots of players around. I have been playing my horizontal and vertical at 13 very high. reading the pros are on 6 ish. Also my ads is 120 ish they are saying 0.85 as I'm probably missing lots of accuracy by having an irratic high settings. I tried it slower and it was doing my head in lol I'm not happy with the speed looking and aiming etc. What should I change you think?

That is a lot of thoughts jumbled together lmao.

My first question is, why do you feel your M4 should only be good "long range" - it should definitely handle the mid-range well too. The only time you really need a short/medium range secondary is if you're carrying a sniper. Your M4 should look something like Mono Suppressor, Grenadier or Corvus barrel, your mid-range optic of choice (I prefer the VLK 3.0x for quick ADS, clean sight picture, and the hidden recoil reduction), Commando grip, and the 50-60 round mags. This should easily hold it's own from 30-100+m - the ADS is quick enough to compete at 30-50m and it has low recoil so it's easy to beam people at longer ranges.

With the M4 handling mid/long-range, you can easily get away with kitting out an MP5 for short-range. Since the 10mm rounds help for mid-range, you can skip them and use the 45 round 9mm mag instead. Pair that with the Merc grip for recoil reduction and improved hipfire, as well as the Tac Laser for the ADS speed boost. In order to further boost the ADS, I would use one of the integrated suppressor barrels - this allows you to skip a muzzle suppressor. I mentioned the Subsonic one for a short-range build because it also boosts ADS, in exchage for range/bullet velocity which you don't need for a short-range build. The attachment you save by using the integrated suppressor barrel allows you to equip one extra attachment of your choosing. If you REALLY feel like you need the Reflex sight then keep using it - personal preference is always king with this because if you don't feel comfortable using a gun, it won't work for you. I personally would go with the No Stock for max ADS and movement speed, but that also increases recoil. You could go with Stippled Grip Tape to get some ADS boost there instead.

I would recommend one of these two builds for a short-range MP5:

Thanks bro your literally an encyclopedia of warzone lol. Like I said I'm new to warzone so I basically had to google and look online to find out what's good to use the m4 came up a lot on forums etc for longer range and the mp5 for up close. I like to play full on and close range in game. I cant see me with a sniper sitting for 20 mins looking for people in same spot would drive me nuts. I need to find the action and get In there. I've set up the mp5 like you said but I'm hesitant about the tac sights as it gives away your location I was thinking of using sleight of hand if it doesnt work out. The m4 set up is grenadier barrel. The recoil felt best on the ranger. I got the single arm butt and the integral sights. I tried the vic sights but I didnt like the cross heir. Ok should I ditch the m4 or mp5 what should I get? I'm thinking shotgun for close up and probably the m4 over the mp5. Or do I grab a sniper and use something else Help!!! lol I need to find a game plan and stick to it. Appreciate all the advice bro and im willing to change or ditch things.

So the Tac Laser is not as noticeable as you think, and it only shows up when you ADS. If you're in short-range battles your opponent likely already knows where you are so the laser isn't giving you away at that point. The only time the laser becomes an issue is if you are in mid-range and like to hard-scope doors or windows. The Tac Laser is also one of the most useful attachments, giving a huge ADS boost and added Aim Stability (better for rifles but still helps on an SMG). Just avoid hard-scoping a lot when you have it on.

So you have a couple options here. I would always use the Subsonic Integrated barrel, Merc grip, and 45 extended mag.

The first question to ask yourself is, do you NEED a reflex sight or not to fight inside 20-30m. If you do, that makes a 4th "must have" attachment and you only have 1 more to play with. If so, Tac Laser would be the best for the ADS boost. If you don't want a laser try the No Stock to see if you can handle the recoil. If you don't like that, then do Stippled Grip Tape as the 5th.

If you don't need a reflex sight, that opens up some options because you have 2 attachments to play with. As mentioned before, I would run Tac Laser and No Stock for max ADS and movement. Similar to above, if you don't want a laser I would still try No Stock but instead pair it with the Stippled Tape for the medium ADS boost. If you don't like the No Stock recoil, then Option C is to use the Close Quarters Stock and Stippled Tape, both of which offer medium ADS boosts. At that point your ADS won't be as good as a Tac Laser/No Stock build, but you'll have better recoil control and no laser. Personal preference.

As for your M4 build. The Grenadier is the longest barrel so best range/velocity which makes it easier to hit targets at long range, and it helps with recoil so that's a plus too. I'm assuming you meant the Singuard Arms Invader Stock - this is not ideal for a long range rifle because it buffs strafe speed and costs you Aim Stability. Aim Stability is crucial for longer range builds, and this stock is hurting your stability. The M16 stock is the one you want if you want to increase Aim Stability.

Also as far as the Ranger Grip. All 3 of the main grips (Ranger, Operator, Merc) reduce vertical recoil by 17% - they are identical. The difference is their secondary attributes. The Merc improves hipfire, so it's good for SMGs, the Ranger improves Aim Stability so it's good for rifles, and the Operator trades a secondary ability but doesn't hurt your movement speeds, so it's a better mid-range grip. So for an M4 the Ranger is a good choice because Aim Stability is helping you at long range. The one caveat I'll make, and this is totally personal preference, is the Commando Grip. The Commando does less for vertical recoil, but eliminates some of the "side-to-side" bounce between each bullet fired. So basically it cleans up the recoil pattern because the gun isn't jiggling back and forth - aka it's easier to control the recoil. I use the Commando on all of my rifle builds, because I think cleaning up the pattern is worth losing like 7% of vertical recoil control. It also helps with Aim Stability like the Ranger, so they are fairly similar overall. THe difference will be, the Commando will have a cleaner "line" as a recoil pattern but the line will be about 7% taller, while the Ranger pattern will be a little messier/more random but 7% shorter. But long story short, if you're comfortable with the Ranger keep it that way.

AR/SMG loadouts are very common for those who don't like to snipe. Don't force yourself to snipe if you don't like it, and I personally don't like shotguns so I'm not the person to ask there. The M4/MP5 build is very good - I personally like the M13/Kilo better because they have integrated suppressor barrels that don't nerf the weapons range (like the M4's Predator barrel does). Saving an attachment with that integrated suppressor allows me to throw the Tac Laser on for better ADS, but you could easily swap a Close Quarters Stock or Stippled Tape.

I usually run this as my A/R:

Kilo
Barrel: SA Whisper (integrated suppressor)
Laser: Tac Laser
Optic: VLK 3.0x
Grip: Commando
Mag: 60 Ext

Ok cool bro thanks for the information I'll switch the tac lazer back on if it's not going to reveal me much. I really struggle with iron sights so I'm hesitant to give up the small scope but I've got Subsonic Integrated barrel, Merc grip, and 45 extended mag. For the m4 when I put on the m16 stock butt.my player felt too slow I tried with none at all like the pros. It was wild with the recoil was crazy so I put the Singuard Arms Invader Stock as it was in between those two. For the grips I was switching between all the options and found I couldn't control the commando grip as much as I wanted too, as everyone says its best and aso lighter than the ranger. Under heavy fire the ranger personally was easiest to manage close to the merc. I'm going to run a m13 and kilo I was looking at them recently and I also have the vizla blueprint for the grau 5.56 I was running it when I started. Thoughts on that one bro? I not keen on shotguns at all. They anialate anything close up though lol. As for sniping maybe I should run it. I love sniping and was a beast on GTA sniping lol 3/4 kd prob be higher if wasnt for all the modders on ps3 killing me. Anyway I'm ready to start a fresh what do you think try new guns. Stick with what I've got. The biggest question do you think a sniper is worth adding in? What are your 2 guns you take then? I know you mentioned kilo and m13 what's the other gun? Thanks for all the information btw
Respect
