Scrims (aka clan wars) are practice matches against other teams; stats ratios are NOT recorded and everyone plays to have a good time. We have over 170 teams in Battlefield 3 using our Scrim Finder, with roughly 500 scrims found so they clearly like it! What about you?

What is Gamers Portal? To put it bluntly, it's a site for casual and competitive gamers with a social backbone. We are in alpha, and if you would like to see it for yourself, feel free to register @ http://gamersportal.com/account/register?RegistrationCode=mw3event
Why build Scrim Finder? I have, like many others, used IRC for roughly a dozen years, and it was great. Although sadly, it will never reach it's peak again. The new generation of gamers, even the old (including me), do not know how to use IRC, or care to, hence why xfire and steam scrim groups are popping up. Our system, and the web in general, offers a low-barrier to entry for newcomers and veterans alike. In order for the community to GROW, we need to congregate in one friendly place that is EASY for everyone to use. We need support!
-Specifically, our system offers several advantages:
-The days of spamming requests are over. Set a post, and you have a live request for 15 mins.
-Stale (older) requests are automatically removed. This ensures requests you see are in fact active.
-You can set teams as favorites, so their requests come up to the top.
-Transparency. Since all teams are required to be registered on GP, you have a better idea of who you’re playing against.
-It can be built to get scrims in ANY game on ANY platform

Requirements to use the Scrim Finder There are 2 simple requirements needed in order to use the Scrim Finder.
1) Be a part of a clan on Gamers Portal Creating a clan is FREE on Gamers Portal, and quite literally takes 8 seconds.
2) That clan must have the game you are trying to get scrims for, added to their games list (In this case, Modern Warfare 3)
Note: You do NOT need a populated clan on Gamers Portal in order to get a scrim (all you need is 1 person)
Future releases If there is enough interest, we can and will build a pug system (pugbot) AND a ringer system in the very near future. I have already started planning for it to make sure we are ready. All we are waiting on is to see interest from the community, so please do not be shy!
