First off, I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting a video and I apologize in advance! (if it's not permitted I ask the mod to please delete the thread)

Now for those of you that saw the video or about to see it, how do you feel about this? Are you excited? Creeped out? Scared?

I'm definitely looking forward to it although it's kind of creepy to be honest, the way it moves and how real it looks, I would love to see how that's going to look in the video game but at the same time I wonder if it's going to be fully implemented in the game or if it's only going to be for cut scenes.

Here's the video and I'd love to hear what you guys have to say about it!

Thanks for posting the video.

I haven't seen it before and it just shows how far the world has came in it's development on graphics.
I give a clap to the employees at Activision for creating such a beautiful piece of work. If all the characters are this well made my mind is seriously going to be blown. I wonder how much time the spent on creating such a model. It just shows the time and dedication Activision has towards their game. I wonder if they're using Crytek's CryEngine 3.
Is this for the supposed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4? There are rumours of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 so I presume it's for that.

Very intriguing. It does look promising, however in this particular demo, the mouth area looks a little stiff compared to the other muscle groups in the face, however I know it will be different when the final engine is released. I'm glad Activision is stepping up their game and not repeating the use of the engine they have been using for the bast five games. Maybe with this engine they can add something new to the Call of Duty franchise, or hell make an entirely new franchise.

You're welcome! I agree with you, they do deserve a round of applause for their hard work and how detailed and realistic the whole thing turned out. I hope they use it for the whole game and not just cut scenes though, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

This is simply unreal.....I know its just a model, but look at it.

At first I thought it was just a guys head then it hit me. When the model started talking the facial expressions of sadness, anger and shock is mind blowing. The polygons, the texture, now the question is what do others have in store to compete with this one.

This looks very promising, and I hope similar tech will be used for Modern Warfare 4.

However, things like this have been done before to hype up the game and the engine, only to be far inferior upon release. Hopefully, Activision doesn't pull something like that on us.

Ohhh, looks pretty. I can't wait to see this in their new game. Maybe they will add some hair physics to go along with it lol

I am with the OP. This is awesome and creepy at the same time. With the exception of a couple of details, the model looks perfect. I am amazed at what people are able to come up with now. I do also wonder if this is what the in-game characters will eventually look like or just for in game movies. I would love to see sports games implement this type of detail. My, my, my, we have come a long way from the days of Mario and Sonic!

Now that is taking video game graphics to a whole other dimension.
I agree though, it's creepy how life like it was.

The technology is impressive but I think it would be a bit of a waste for an FPS. Maybe they are working on a new franchise to fully implement the use of this technology. It would be great for a horror game because the face alone is already giving me the creeps. I can't wait to see where they go from here.
