But here goes.
I have bought the original game plus 12....yes 12....bundles of some for or another. Most with actual money
So I have earned...no PAID my right to complain.
Week 6 JAK Ettin double barrel kit, didn't get it after meeting requirements, contacted support, jumped through a bunch of hoops, didn't help. Wound around to "this is a known issue please keep following our X account for updates"
Same week, unlocked the Holger 26 through the armory unlock. Says base weapon still locked. Rinse and repeat. Wound up with the same story. And because we have exhausted all options through support all tickets have been closed.
So now I'm supposed to just randomly check their what's formally known as Twitter account in the hopes that somebody is competent and can fix these issues.
These are the two issues that didn't get fixed. There were three others that were fixed by cleaning out cache's, rebuilding databases, and doing full un/re installs.
All of my problems have largely been do X, get Y.....doesn't work....we can't fix it problems. This doesn't seem like coding rocket science to me but granted, I'm a dumbass salesperson what do I know.
I also have over two and a half terabytes worth of games on my console and this is the only one I've ever had to contact support on. Don't get me wrong other games will have torn textures, weird floating glitches, the norm that you expect from a game especially in today's rush them out culture. But where those are on the scale of anywhere from annoying to funny, this is stuff I've either paid or worked hard for in a game sense, and they can't seem to fix it. No offer of we'll hear some free call of duty coins to go buy some other digital crap with, or whatever. Just.....check out X account, have a great day.
This from a franchise that is released on an annual basis that you think would have the cause and effect thing down by now .... Or at least some expectation of restitution.
I have traditionally been a battlefield guy when I have ventured to play these kind of games. 2042 was a mess at launch, but has been patched and updated into a damn fine little digital war. Something tells me not to expect the same level of commitment out of this one. After all, there's a new one coming out next year....
