I hope lag compensation is absent

I don't know how this community feels about lag comp, but I absolutely hate it. I think it's extremely unfair that somebody can have a lesser connection and win fights they shouldn't because of it, and they should get a better internet connection if they want it to be more fair on their end. I'd think a lot more highly of Black Ops 2 and MW 3 if lag comp weren't included, and I won't be buying any future Call of Duty games that include it.

Well this is because of the fact that CoD can't afford dedicated servers... if they could the stupid lag would never be a problem unless your internet is just trash. Check out BF3 they have dedicated servers and there's never any lag.

I definitely agree with you. At least on the new consoles, the servers will be better with less lag. On the computer it is awful. I get so frustrated when I lose a duel that a shouldn't due to lag.

Yes definitely. I feel that especially for something which is as focused on micro-management as Modern Warfare of FPS in general, every action has a large impact on the fight and lag comp really destroys the immersion and fairness of the fights.
