This game defined multiplayer games for me. FFA Crossfire, TDM Overgrown, FFA Shipment with 64 players (thanks PC), and SnD Wetwork made this game for me. What was your favorite multplayer CoD and on what map(s)?

FFA Crossfire, FFA Crash, TDM Overgrown, SnD Bog and that's basically it.

The game's multiplayer was so simple and perfect that Call of Duty 4 was probably and will forever be the best Modern Warfare ever.

The CoD4 multiplayer was pretty much unbeatable. For me the CoD games multiplayers have declined in quality and there is more crap that isn't necessary. My favourites matches were FFA Shipment, TDM Crossfire, SnD Wetwork. Amazing maps, probably for me the best array of maps in a shooter game.

Has to be the cod4 paintball mod for me i loved that server and i still do play it now. There all custom maps that are played with custom guns (real paintball guns) that server was the best for me :)

I would have to go with free for all on shipment. It was pretty much just an uncontrollable chaos. You couldn't stay away for more than a few seconds and pretty much if you played with big numbers, every grenade you threw was almost always a guaranteed kill. Not much skill was involved as you could practically be spawned in front of someone and get shot at the back yet It was loads of fun.

Definitely TDM on overgrown, oh how I love this map. I always remember playing michael myers with my friends. I miss those days :(

Overgrown....oh man I am going through nostalgia.

I was never big into CoD, then in my dorm my roommate let me try it out, and before he knew it, I was playing more CoD 4 than he was. It was awesome, and great for taking study breaks.

Shipment was such a chaotic map. Nothing is more fun than loading up a free-for-all or TDM, then getting a shotty or a sub machine gun and mowing down enemies with ease.

I think that promod for Call of Duty 4 MP is a great modification that really makes you understand the game and it's secrets. In fact I think that the version 2.14 of Promod came out a couple of months ago. There are a lot of people still playing it and tournaments are hosted all around the world.

Modded lobbies with flying hidden players on that hid on top of the pipe above that cave? That really interesting at first especially if you could manage to get up there and snipe down, the newbies had no idea.
