Newbie Question

Bro, this is a very controversial topic, you are advocating for Skill-Based Matchmaking. (SBMM for short.)

I understand you wanna be matched with players on your level, but that's precisely what it's doing in the background. The reason why you are sitting at the lobby screen for a long time is because the system, the algorithm is looking for players like you, but most players are at level 55, the current max rank. This is based on engagement, time, and location.

For example, say you're in California, you are matched with level 55 players who have x amount of hours, x engagement, x kills, x killstreaks, etc.

Aaah, I have read a little about SBMM, now I'm starting to understand. Thanks for the explanation.
Yeah, by itself it sounds good on paper, but in practice, when you play the game, the algorithm is doing sneaky, disingenuous, nefarious actions behind-the-scenes... and that's where the controversy is.

I'll let a video explain it...

That's DIRECTLY from the developers.
