Reload kills

Does anybody know exactly how long it’ll take from a reload, until it won’t count as a reload kill?

This might help:

Brilliant thanks! Also a couple of useful tips l could use there! One of them was to use a suppressor, omg why did l not do that, lmao! There’s been a few times when I’ve reloaded and the enemy heard it, l say to myself ooh if only you didn’t hear me! I’ve not had too many dumb moments but that definitely is one!

So two seconds not long then!

Sometimes the most obvious answers only become obvious when someone points them out. ;P

I would've told you.

What you would’ve told me to use a suppressor? I’m not usually bothered whether enemies can hear me but it this situation it’s needed. Going around shooting my gun for no reason just to get another reload, drawing enemies towards me, not anymore!

That sounds like a good idea, get yourself a decent location where you're facing the only approach an enemy can take, lie prone then shoot off a burst, reload, and get ready. That might work too.

I mean it's common sense that, suppressors hide your presence. Previously, it muzzles your gunshots. It still does, but not like COD4, it's kinda the same argument as the footsteps. It's loud. And even then, when you use "Ghost," it's still loud. It's obvious that Joe Cecot screwed up the design of Modern Warfare, but suppressors work, at least.

Hmm, surely you mean dead silence to cover your footsteps? I’ve not heard of ghost doing that. Now we are talking about footsteps how does ds work? I thought if you got a kill using it the circular bar would go up again? It doesn’t look like mine does?

My mistake: Ghost returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as a Tier 2 perk. As with in previous games, it makes the user invisible to UAVs, in addition to Personal Radars and Heartbeat Sensors. It is unlocked at level 24.
Ghost users are still visible when an Advanced UAV is active, but they are shown as red dots instead of arrows.

Before the 1.14.0 Perk rebalancing it also granted immunity to Snapshot Grenades. This trait was moved to the perk Battle Hardened.

However, Dead Silence isn't a perk, its a field upgrade: Dead Silence returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as a Field Upgrade rather than a perk. It entirely silences one's footsteps, but for a limited duration which are refreshed in each kill, akin to the Exo Mute Device in Advanced Warfare. While under the effects of Dead Silence, the player will also move faster than normal. Dead Silence is unlocked at level 10.

It's a useless field upgrade. I liked it as a perk in previous games.
