What do you think about having scorestreaks in Black Ops 2, as opposed to killstreaks in Black Ops 1?

Do you find one easier than the other?

I don't mind either and don't have a preference really. Although, I liked in Black Ops 1, with hardline on, you'd get a reward after killing 2 people. I shoot down a lot of aircrafts though, so that gives me extra points that wouldn't have counted towards anything on Black Ops 1, so it's a toss up for me.

How about you?

Scorestreaks are easier to obtain but the killstreaks is where CoD shined especially in CoD4.

Scorestreaks are all right and what not but I don't like it that much. It makes the game more balanced yes, but you can get points for basically anything in Black Ops 2.

I never cared for scorestreaks at all. I just like killstreaks. I usually get 7 killstreaks at the most. I'm alright at the game I gues!?

Score streaks? Who cares I care more about score ratio and always getting it atleast 2:1 ratio. Sometimes and most times I get into the 3:1 and sometimes 4:1. Kills:deaths. I'm here to get better and stronger and pwn newbs.

But I most I've had is 29 kills zero deaths. yup yup

I think scorestreaks are a little more rewarding, they encourage you to do a lot more than just kill opponents. Killstreaks are good, yes, they make you try to get better and more accurate but scorestreaks just feel like you're accomplishing more. Besides, they add a little more variety to the matches.

I've hardly every had more than six kills in a row, I hate staying still, I move around a lot which gets me killed. But I like using spyplane, which is a huge help. I know it's not a terribly exciting killstreak, but it's saved my butt a couple times. After that probably the Lightning strike, which I've only actually used a few times. My last one is the Warthog, but I've maybe only got that once.

UAV's are the most useful scorestreak in the game after VSATS. Most victorious teams have there UAVs up at virtually all times, knowing enough to stagger them so coverage is rarely ever down. This also gives you a tiny score boost which, while not especially significant, can add up to just enough if you're a nickle shy of that Swarm.

I never really payed attention to them, I'm always running around the map rather than staying in one spot at a time.

All the more reason to have your UAV up. I find a great many people increase their kill count dramatically by learning to pay attention more to the minimap than the rest of the screen. Those little red dots are your sign posts to victory.

Seems to me the scorestreaks are a BIT easier to get just because you get points for assists, objective work, etc, rather than the killstreaks that we are used to.

But since more people are getting them, maybe that kind of balances it out? I just find it a bit easy to constantly have your scorestreaks recycle over and over. If everything goes right, you can easily get a 100+ game.

Treyarch should reveal stats that show the score differentials between Black Ops 1 and 2 and see if there is a larger gap.

I'm not really for score streaks. I feel that they are too easy because the game just hands out points for doing the most mundane thing. Though, I think that overall score streaks are better for the CoD franchise. They promote things other than the KD ratio, which I think is an overrated stat. But since I've been playing FPSs since CS 1.6 I feel a little differently about stats. I'm more for winning at whatever the cost than having good stats. But since the winners have a good KD ratio, it usually ends in a good way for me. I just like the idea of being rewarded for assists, but not for UAV assists and the other things you get rewarded for.

I've said on multiple threads that I think the scorestreak system is superior to the killstreak formula for the very reason that it promotes objective based behavior. They broke it in modes like domination by still having kills weighted heavier than objective based activities, but it's a step in the right direction. Ultimately I've been semi convinced that maybe these killstreak/scorestreak mechanics are played out. Perhaps it's time we do away with them and get down to basics.

Scorestreaks were easier in Black Ops 1. I used Hardline in every single class. I got a UAV with a 2 killstreak. Also, if you had Hardline Pro and you called in a care package and you didn't like what you got, you can re-roll it.
