Warzone Using trucks at final circle?

So far I have 135 wins as of this post. Mainly because my main objective is to take trucks to final circle, or win with the riot shield. If everything goes in my favor, my truck would have full health, trophy system, and nobody would have stolen it while I'm hiding in a building waiting for circle 8 (final circle before it moves). But if its circle 7 and there is absolutely no building, then I will just drive around in an area that doesn't have enemies.

When circle 8 comes, I will ride the nose of the moving gas and follow that as far as possible so I am always far away from everyone. And hope the 5-7 enemies all kill each other while I'm out of their fight and the circle moves. I'll just keep using the truck to put myself far away from everyone until its the last 1-2 enemies left. I usually do my best to let every enemy kill each other off and then try to go kill the very last enemy while he's weak and strained from fighting off everyone. But most the time, most people refuse to shoot the truck, so that's a huge advantage to just be chilling in the open but not being shot at. I think most people feel its not worth shooting the truck because they won't do much damage and risk giving out their position to other enemies who are close by.

My squads I play with don't really believe in the truck. But one of my friends (high school buddies) started agreeing to let me use the truck to the final circle and we won 3 easy games in about a week Probably because he realized he only has 10-11 wins and I racked up 135 wins. Another squad (college friends) I play with thinks vehicles and trucks are death traps and hate using them. They say people shoot trucks up, but then I countered that and said we should get 3-4 trucks so an entire squad can't shoot all of us. One guy says that everyone will see us if I get in the truck and is against it.

I don't get why people don't really fight over the truck, it's something I try to have at the final circle if possible and will go outta my way to ensure I have it. Alot of people at final circle hesitate to shoot up the truck because they know there are 5 enemies nearby that are hiding and could shoot them up. Even the last remaining enemy may hesitate to shoot the truck. I guess its nice that people haven't really found out how effective having a truck is at final circle is b/c I never have to compete for a truck and they're always sitting around halfway through the game.

I dunno, but to me it just seems like....not a lot of fun? Winning 135 games doesn't mean much if you got them by hiding in a building until Circle 8 and then "riding the nose of the gas while everyone else kills each other". These wins don't do anything, and your're not getting any better at the game by hiding until basically the final 2 players are left. To each their own I guess?

Well being pinned down and choosing a bad location at final circle all the time resulting in a loss doesn’t sound a good strategy either.

I was in one game where 4-5 enemies showed up on heart beat sensor near final circle, but had the truck next to me. When circle 8 came and it started moving, I went in the truck and drove away while they all stayed put waiting until they had to move. That just caused them to be pinned down and killed by everyone else who was waiting for them to come out. I don’t get why I would ditch the truck and expose myself to the enemies who are waiting for me to come out. No one is good enough to consistently kill 3-5 people in a row, each kill you go for is a risk to be picked off / 3rd personed.

That’s what I realized so now I always make the goal to take truck to final circle, even if I have to sacrafice my gas mask to get it.
