I just ordered Vanguard for Xbox Series X and it'll be my first COD game since United Offensive back in 2004. I've been a Battlefield player since then, but 2042 was absolute trash so I've decided to jump ship and play COD for the foreseeable future.

I'd love to hear some tips though. When watching streamers and gameplay videos, it seems they hardly ever stop moving, whereas in Battlefield it seemed more tactical and I'd find myself going prone and slowly moving around corners etc. Should I ditch that style of play and just keep on the move at all times when playing COD?

Would appreciate some tips anyway, thanks guys.

Keep your expectations low with Vanguard. It's a World War 2 game, and was launched with a lot of bugs at launch, so you're gonna need to patch your game. By today, things got better, but just keep that in mind. @freakdaddy64 loves the game, I think it's okay... but that's because I don't like World War 2-themed games. I do like some things, like the movement, which is a bit faster here.

Though, I think you're going to like it because of your familiarity with United Offensive.

My favorite games are CoD4: Modern Warfare, CoD: Modern Warfare 2 (yes, despite the glitches), CoD: Modern Warfare (2019). CoD4 isn't exactly playable unless you're on Xbox (which you are), and there's a Remaster. I love Modern Warfare, and the next title is Modern Warfare II.

Anyway, Vanguard has a mix of styles of gameplay. If you like rushing, this game is gonna be fantastic. If you like sniping, it's fantastic. Close quarters combat? It has some drawbacks, and its a bit glitchy in some places, some weapons will be a bit slow in close quarters. If you like camping... I'm sorry, you're going to have a somewhat difflicult time, because there's more rushers in the game than previous games.

I much prefer more modern themed shooters, but WW2 is fine for me as well so I don't particularly mind the fact it's set in WW2. At least it's not set in WW1, which I hated about Battlefield 1, but quite liked Battlefield V which was WW2 based.

Quite looking forward to it anyway and excited to start playing, a lot more than when I was waiting for BF 2042 to arrive in the mail, which doesn't make sense considering I was a BF player since 2005 or so haha. Perhaps the BF franchise just became stale to me, and as this is a new experience I'm excited for it.

vanguard maps are a bit smaller so play of the game is fast you have to be on your toes and even though weapons are ww2 they are awsome. i have really enjoyed playing vanguard on pc.

NEW TO VANGUARD - MY TIPS TO YOU

Vanguard can be a very, VERY fast paced, But I think the bigger map playlists are slower but i am not sure. I will go through a little bit of everything and hope this information is relevant & useful.
(I ONLY PLAY SHIP/HAUS MAP PLAYLIST | CONSIDER THAT WHILE READING)

FAST PACED MAP & TIPS

U can practice and improve your gamestyle alot if you try out the SHIPMENT/DASHAUS 24/7 MAP PLAYLIST.
When you spawn into the match & every time you respawn, you would like to be a little bit faster then your enemy as this can and most likely will be crucial in winning the gun fight.
Element of suprise.. yes even on these maps where you 99% of the time know the enemies location right at that moment you will have the favour because the enemies expect u too be a few steps back and already then u have killed them before they had aimed down sight, easy kills.

the maps are small and spawns change fast so reduce the walking to a minimum.
Look at the minimap often, and the one tip that I consider to be very important is that you always prefire.
This goes for when you run towards a new part of the map, change location - Lets say u are running from spawn to middle using the corridor on the right part of the map. That angle is closed by 4 doors at match start but they disappear quickly. That will be used by enemies to shoot straight down at you if u are peeking rightside in your spawn. You would prefire this angle like any other+ Wallbangs are easy to get so dont be afraid to try and shoot through walls.

WEAPONS & GOOD LOADOUTS

You should try to level up these two weapons (70LVL) before anything else.

Since everything is happening really fast - you might die rather quickly and get a few kills at the time. I am saying that for a new player/applies for OG players aswell actually - you should have killstreaks that are easy to earn like;
SPY PLANE - MORTAR BARRAGE - ATTACK DOGS | MY CURRENT STREAKS AS OF 16.07.2022

CHECK OUT THESE CLIPS IF U WANT TWO, U WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, *MORE CLIPS ON MY MEDALTV PROFILE*

Hopefully this information helps you, I guess there is nothing else to say than:
