Which game should I buy?

Hi! There is a sale going on for all the games in the cod franchise on the Microsoft store and I want to buy one and I am stuck on which one to choose. Black Ops 2 or Infinite Warfare? I have never played both of them btw. A huge factor for decision is which game has more players still active on it. So which one should I buy? Also don't mention the zombies cause idc about it. I am only interested in the multiplayer and campaign!

Right now? Its Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

October 25, 2024? Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Most of the old games are being destroyed by hackers, cheaters, losers, really. Those are your choices via multiplayer.

Campaign though? Any one is fine. Black Ops 2, Infinite Warfare, Advanced Warfare. Excellent choices for Campaign.

But as soon as you go into multiplayer, brace yourself for shenanigans.

Modern Warfare 2019 is good for campaign, but Multiplayer is ok, I guess, but it has the lightest SBMM of the current era. Modern Warfare II (2022) is a soul-less game that has SBMM. Modern Warfare III? SBMM has been turned up. Vanguard has some problems, but is mid. Black Ops Cold War is also mid. It is however a better Multiplayer game of the 4 games of this current era.

Older games were better.

Alright, since I was curious, I looked at the sale. Here are my recommendations:

CoD4: Modern Warfare (CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered is this game, FYI)
CoD: World At War
CoD: Black Ops
CoD: Black Ops II
CoD: Black Ops III (however look around, there are issues)

Next Gen:
CoD: Ghosts (panned at launch/not kidding, its almost like Modern Warfare 2, especially the colors)
CoD: WWII (again, not kidding... its actually a good game - a sledgehammer game)
CoD: Advanced Warfare (really good, IMHO)
CoD: Infinite Warfare (panned at launch, but a good campaign - miffed about multiplayer, however the game actually feels like it runs at 80fps)

Low priority:
CoD: Vanguard
CoD: Black Ops Cold War
CoD: Modern Warfare (2019)
CoD: Modern Warfare 2 (buggy/glitchy, but is sequel to CoD4)

DO NOT BUY:
CoD: Black Ops 4
CoD: Modern Warfare II (ESPECIALLY this one)
CoD: Modern Warfare III (Yes, i realize i said its a recent game, but I can't recommend it, IT IS BETTER than MWII, that's for sure)

I highly recommend Diablo II Resurrected if you want mindless dungeon crawler. Not sure if issues are fixed from beta.
