Hi I'm new to this forum site and I'm from the UK.
Now, I have recently played a lot of Black Ops 2 (primarily TDM) and I have noticed that in near enough every lobby I go into I meet some French people. Usually, the lobby consists of mostly Brits with 1 or 2 Frenchies thrown in. Now, almost every time I play in these lobbies the French person/people come top or near top. They are also usually top of the lobby leaderboard ahead of the brits or other nationalities in the lobby. This is pretty consistent in every lobby I visit; the french are always on top and they usually win! (the German's are also pretty good) This is just my personal observation.
I have some (possibly controversial theories) why they might be so good:
1. They take the game more seriously. You don't here of much French trolls on YouTube etc.
2. They are often poor/unemployed in France. They have more time to play the game, thus are better.
3. They fair better with lag compensation. Quite often they lag everywhere in British lobbies so are harder to kill.
4. French players are usually older, so are better. I seldom hear a squeaky French kid playing!
5. They are simply not as intelligent as many Brits. (Sorry). They're intelligence level is ideal for a game.
6. It is 'cool' to be good at a game there. In Britain many people aren't that bothered/play for fun.
7. I coincidentally happen to come up against the better players.
Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone any other theories? What are YOUR opinions on this matter?
(I don't want any daft replies saying "Oh because the French own" "They rule" "They own your ass" etc which would only accentuate point number 5).
