Will there really be a Modern Warfare 4?

I myself am not a big fan of BO2, I like MW3 but I feel like Infinity Ward needs to go to a new direction but not to many people are into old guns and BO2 is in the future and will probably continue since trey arch owns the names up to BO7.

Modern Warfare has been in that new direction for a while. Problem isn't the setting, it's the various problems with MW3. The only reason why Black Ops 2 is in the future is because the Modern Warfare series already had "present time" weapons. If any game's in the future, It's going to be any one of Black Ops' installment.

My problem with World at War and Black Ops was the settings. Just like you said "not too many people are into old guns," it's not just old guns, it's also the period where the game takes place.

I like where Black Ops 2 is heading...

I enjoyed the Modern Warfare series. I've probably spent easily 300-400 hours on the series. The campaign was amazing, but really.. what can they add from there?

I guess they would find something to add, I thought there was nothing else to add to the BO series after number one, but they proved me wrong. I am a huge fan of the Black Ops multiplayer. I honestly feel like I like BO2 multiplayer more then CoD 4s.

To be honest I wouldn't mind a MW4 as long as the campaign's
Got a story as bloody good as MW3 and 2 or even 1...hopefully it'll be made by Infinity Ward and I mean Price and Nikolai are still pretty much alive so there is room for MW4. I'd actually luv to play MW4

Now that Black Ops II is out, Infinity Ward needs to start making games in a different time period IMO. MW3 was actually the first COD games became truly bored of after a few months. It lacked the variety and maps that were earlier in the series, and it only had a few different weapons.

Also making another MW game would be just a wasted opportunity with the next gen consoles right around the corner. IW needs to take advantage of the new technology offered to them and make a really sick CoD.

I saw somewhere that the voice actor for Capt. Price has already started recording his voice for MW4, but I hope it's wrong because I miss the old CoD 2 game where it was WWII.
