Some Questions about Infinite Warfare

OK, so this is my first post here, This is about Infinite Warfare, I absolutely love it, the trailers have given me good impressions, whereas the trailers for AW and BO:III did not. OK, but I've got a few questions.

1. How many side missions will there be in this game? 12? 24? 100? hundreds? I really like this space pirate thing, it's awesome.
2. On-Rails attack runs, will there be ground strike missions ala ''Throttle'' from AW?
3. Is Kit Harington that bold dude Salen Kotch in the ''Know your Enemy'' trailer?
4. How many customization options for the ship will there be?
5. Is this game basically half Ace Combat half Call of Duty?
6. What will 2017's game be about?

OK, that's all, if you don't really have an answer, you can estimate, using all your wisdom and all, I'd like to know because I love COD, and this game looks really good.

We don't know. But judging from what we've seen thus far, about 20 to 100.
2. On-Rails attack runs, will there be ground strike missions ala ''Throttle'' from AW?
No Call of Duty title without it. Yep.
3. Is Kit Harington that bold dude Salen Kotch in the ''Know your Enemy'' trailer?
No. The bad guy in "Know your Enemy" is the Robocop guy.
4. How many customization options for the ship will there be?
I'm assuming a lot. They're trying to focus more on the ship, than anything else. But we'll know more at CODXP.
5. Is this game basically half Ace Combat half Call of Duty?
Basically. Yep. But replace Ace Combat with No Man's Sky, if you like. Either way, yeah.
6. What will 2017's game be about?
Advanced Warfare 2. Sledgehammer Games' next in the rotation.

No I don't think Peter Weller is the main villain, it says it's Kit Harington. And also, because this game isn't Ghosts 2, Sledgehammer's game may be different.

Has the Ghosts series been cancelled now?

And how free is the retribution to explore? Can you explore the hangar even when not on a mission?

I know it's a rumor, but that's what it is for now. They're trying to keep things under wraps right now, but the guy in "Know your Enemy" is Peter Weller. The similarities are immaculate...

I mean, look at that. I literally went like "Robocop!"

Advanced Warfare 2 is next. Even if they make a new title, that's what I am going with for now. But Sledgehammer Games is next in the rotation.

WOW, OK, but it says that ''Kit Harington plays the face of the SDF''. There are some hints this guy isn't the main villain, he's a Rear Admiral, does this mean Kit Harington's character is the true admiral?

So Ghosts 2 is never gonna happen then? That's sad, the story had a cliffhanger.

And also, is this game going to have a Branching-Storyline?

Well, the story says this guy:

Will start the game as a newly appointed Admiral or Colonel (I forget which), Kit Harington might replace him somewhere in the story or be one of the factions. Either way, some leaks have already outed Kit Harington to be part of Infinite Warfare, but keep it as rumor until it's official from Activision themselves.

Ghosts 2 not happening due to reception of the game itself. Infinite Warfare 2 might not even happen if the problem repeats.
And also, is this game going to have a Branching-Storyline?
Beats me.

So Basically. Kit Harington is unconfirmed? And he's just a rumour? wow, didn't know that. Ghosts 2 is a bit sad though.

Yeah. Unconfirmed. In fact, when the leaks first came out, there was supposed to be a "behind-the-scenes" video of Kit in Infinite Warfare - but it was taken down immediately. Activision saw it, and said "What are you doing?" Leaks. are. bad. When a company says "No, no!" That means they are not ready to reveal it (in this case Kit's starring role in Infinite Warfare.)

When we customize our ship, can we have lasers and stuff? And if fans do not like this game, will the next game be a Boots-On-The-Ground WWII or Modern Warfare experience? Finally, is it worth pre-ordering now?

Yeah, if you played BO3, you know what to expect from Infinite Warfare. It's almost like a sequel to BO3. If fans do not like Infinite Warfare; Not only will a new iteration not happen, Infinity Ward would have to re-think their next game. Activision will be paying attention to the sales of either Battlefield 1 or TitanFall 2. However, this is probably the reason why they introduced the Legacy Editions. To have a healthy balance between boots-on-the-ground and innovative gameplay as we've seen with BO3 and Infinite Warfare thus far.

Should you pre-order it now? Yeah. Especially if you're getting Legacy Edition. I'm getting the Legacy Pro Edition so I can get Season Pass, too. And by pre-ordering, you're telling Activision that you want, and demand the game. You're placing an order ahead of time.

I've pre-ordered it now, I can't wait, especially with this Sgt.Omar bloke, the Wing Commander like vibe, and the ship assaults. I Hope that there will be plenty of ship assaults, and laser upgrades. I really hope this game wlll shock us with a branching storyline. As for Salen Kotch, apparently he is ''One'' of the faces of the SDF, meaning that Kit Harington plays one face, Peter Weller plays the other. I did say that because he is a ''Rear Admiral'', he is lower than the Admiral, who is Kit Harington. As for Reyes, he looks awesome, is acted by Yuri's actor Brian Bloom, plus both actors have a Scarlett Johansson number of 2, thanks to working with Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston. So every franchise I've ever known is connected to COD.

I Just hope that the Retribution is free to explore, the hangars even when it's not mission time. Maybe the Jackals are blocked off during this time or something or a practice area.

This is going to be, IMO the best COD ever. It needs to go to space, as I remember the humble origins in 3, 4 and Black Ops. And now the humble origins are now a game set in space.

I've completed AW now btw.

Well, I have a feeling we will be able to. Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 gave me a taste of what it'll be like in Infinite Warfare. One of the ships is call the Jackal. It's the main ship of the game, it will follow you in every mission. If you want to make a stop in Jackal, you can. We don't know much about Jackal, other than that it's a huge part of the game. It'll be there for you each mission to help you with your progress in the game.

Call of Duty never really explored space settings other than Black Ops, and Ghosts. Infinity Ward was inspired by the Ghosts mission and was excited to work on "Space Warfare." And here it is! :)

However, the game's gotten a lot of controversy. I'm not paying attention to it. People hate shit for the sake of controversy. This whole controversy is just... stupid. One trailer, and they automatically shit all over Call of Duty just because it's a cool thing to do.

The funny thing about it, is that the community took a 180 turn on the hate by saying the game looks good, despite the fact that after the [E32016] Single Player trailer, the Call of Duty logo comes up. I bet that E32016 trailer shut some people up. I'm like... "hahahahaha."
I've completed AW now btw.
How did you like it? I liked it a lot. Hopefully there's a sequel, because Sledgehammer Games are really good developers.

It was Great, especially the Kevin Spacey scenes, he's like a corrupt politician, and I believe he is probably the most evil politician in a video game. There's also the furnace scene, that was funny, when you go down the hatch and then Gideon says, ''Where the hell are we?'', and then it's revealed to be the incinerator room, so they run out of the furnace. And also, Cormack's death was much more well done than Soap's death in MW3, I can't take that scene seriously, because when Price goes ''Oh No No No No!'' he sounds like Pinga getting beaten up by Pingu with a scarf in this episode. I also liked the Theme Tune, I think, along with BOII, it's the only COD game to have a recognizable Theme Tune. If they make a sequel, what would it be about?

''Oh NOOT NOOT NOOT NOOT!''

That was the point. House of Cards makes Kevin Spacey's character look like a dirty politician running for president.

As for Soap's death, I thought it was well done. Not perfect, but well done. Because once he's done mourning for his death - he gets pissed off. And when you piss off a best friend of a soldier, you better man up and talk. Then the whole thing goes into explanation of the events that took place in Modern Warfare, and Modern Warfare 2 - which had plot holes until that moment. Infinity Ward gave that series a perfect closure. It made me forget how the game started or unfolded. That entire mission made me satisfied. It was like Makarov running away like a fucking bitch.
lol.
RE: Wait a minute? Is the Jackal half of the game?
http://charlieintel.com/2016/05/02/fighter-jet-campaign-called-jackal-fully-customizable/

“It’s kind of the Top Gun fantasy,” he explained, noting that “it’s your fighter that you get to upgrade and customize. You get to walk along the flight deck and have the flight crew preparing it for you and saluting you and you get into it and you fly out into these crazy missions that you chose to go to.”

Must be worth the pre-order, I did say that it's half COD half Ace Combat, or Half Wing Commander. As for the Soap scene, yeah you were right, but the anguish didn't sound too good, it sounded too much like a certain scene, if he was just screaming in genuine tears, and Billy Murray had tears, I'm pretty sure it would have worked better. But it was still good, especially Yuri revealing everything.

He didn't have time to mourn, there was a gun battle going on on the other side of that window.

And the best part of Yuri revealing everything, is that you get to play the part...

I've just read that Kit Harington is definitely that bald dude. And Activision has confirmed it. I heard of this trope called ''Serkis Folk'' where the character is very different from the actor. Named after Gollum's actor, Andy Serkis.

As for the story, I heard it's not going to be a complicated story, and that it's simply men vs men in space, good vs evil, no double crossing. Which I think is awesome.

Also, will we get to pilot those mechs? If not, we still get the Throttle Sand Castle missions at least.

This will still be the best COD ever.
