Some Questions about Infinite Warfare

I've just read that Kit Harington is definitely that bald dude. And Activision has confirmed it. I heard of this trope called ''Serkis Folk'' where the character is very different from the actor. Named after Gollum's actor, Andy Serkis.
I didn't read the confirmation, but I did read that Mashable posted a new article after the "supposed" leak of Kit Harington. This is the recent article by Mashable talking about Kit and his role in Infinite Warfare. It was weird that I saw a video get taken down, I was trying my best to find the official story on it. I was going to do a story on it for the COD Blog I have. Now, I just say "Screw it. I'll just wait for the video on Call of Duty's channel."
As for the story, I heard it's not going to be a complicated story, and that it's simply men vs men in space, good vs evil, no double crossing. Which I think is awesome.
I think it'll be about good vs evil, but I believe that the story will involve some sort of "true admiral" story like you discussed earlier. There's going to be more than one faction; SATO, SDF, Infinity (hence the Infinite Warfare name/confusion), and others.
Also, will we get to pilot those mechs? If not, we still get the Throttle Sand Castle missions at least.

This will still be the best COD ever.
In Advanced Warfare, we got to use some mechs, and you use the mech for the duration of the last two missions in Advanced Warfare, so yeah, sure.

That's good, but I'm starting to sort of doubt the ''True Admiral'' story based on what it says about Kit Harrington. He's Salen Kotch, the Intel screen says ''Rear Admiral Salen Kotch'', and it features the face of the Robocop dude. Is the Intel screen correct?

I mean, a True Admiral will probably be the closest twist the game would have.

MW3: Father-Daughter Relationship, complicated War story.
Black Ops II: Mujahideen Double-Cross you, Menendez convolutes everything with his sister relationship.
Advanced Warfare: Atlas double-cross you, a Politician has war for the sake of his own son and also believes in power over policy. And almost starts WW3.
Black Ops III: It's all in your head, you're dead, and this, along with Infinite Warfare, is probably the only game on this list that doesn't have a relationship, yet convolutes the plot by using Corvus and the DNI, and I even think it's a remake of Black Ops 1 somehow, in a way that would blow Treyarch's mind.
Infinite Warfare: Simple Good vs Evil, Men vs Men war story in space, no aliens, just a realistic War Story, bald man is possibly secretly Paul Weller playing second fiddle to the real head.

Also, what year do you think Infinite Warfare is set in? 2085? 2098? 2101? I personally think it's 2101. But later than 2065 certainly.

Really, I'll have to wait until the game comes out until I know. 19 weeks. I'll have to pass the time up until then. Possibly by Movie Nights.

Look, given all it's worth, the game hasn't gone gold yet, so it's justified for why it's such a long release date.

Also, if you can't get out of your ship at anytime(Which has been confirmed), can you fly in free roam for as long as you want?

Which one? Link it, please. Just remember "Rear Admiral" is a rank. Kind of like the switch from "Lieutenant Colonel" to "Colonel." We all know which one is the boss, right?

You have a point, but in most of those stories, there's always a plot twist, like Irons shooting a person in a video shown to you.

I think it's shortly after Black Ops 3. 2035-ish. Or shortly before. The game is said to be using "classic" (old) weapons in addition to futuristic weapons.
Also, if you can't get out of your ship at anytime(Which has been confirmed), can you fly in free roam for as long as you want?
We kind-of free-roamed in space during the Ghosts space station mission. I mean, we obviously can't free roam EVERYWHERE, but sure.

Ouigeehee(I say that when excited) just like Ace Combat! Ace Combat even has Fish-Bowl limits. I mean, the lock-on system is obviously similar to the Assault Horizon system.

Yeah, of course you can't go out and in at anytime during the game otherwise it would be a bit too overpowered, sure, your going to have Sand Castle/Throttle/Payback style Attack Runs. But basically this game is going to be awesome. I honestly think it's set in 2101.

I mean the Intel Screen at the beginning of the video, it kind of shows up like a side quest. So does this mean we can do side missions for Intel? And the missing intel screen would show up with a question mark and. I don't know, but really I can't wait for it to come out.

Also, no offense or anything, the correction is after 2065.

I'm not offended. Thanks for the correction! :)

Glad to see you excited about a new Call of Duty title! :)

Not that it's "overpowered," just obviously for development reasons. Have you noticed that if you go outside of your mission, you get a warning screen? Most Call of Duty games are linear. They do want to give you freedom, but at the same time, you can't go too far outside of a mission.

Oh, that. It's correct. That's part of the final game, all of it is real time. It is, after all a demo of the game at E3 2016. I wasn't there, but 90% of demos shown at any E3 is in-game. It's not like EA, where they show you "in-game engine footage." The only exception to this rule is games like Death Stranding, where the game is just starting development - and shows you a reveal trailer.

It's not like they'll go back and change in-game stuff just to hide story info... That's not how it works at Activision. They show you a demo "like it is." They could get sued for deceptive marketing.

Wow, my head is swimming after reading this thread. Obviously my memory retention is junk compared to some of you guys, and there was so much reference to past games that it makes me want to go back and play all the story lines just to understand much of it.
